SUMMARY: Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic Payload Systems Integrator who will primarily be responsible for assisting in the design, qualification, and assembly of the axiom products. This position reports to Payloads Engineering Manager. This role is onsite and will be based at our SSDF facility
.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of existing ISS payload interfaces and emerging trends in human-tended payload systems, catering to the needs of both commercial and government clients within the space industry.
- Lead the development of internal and external payload user requirements and interface documentation, ensuring the seamless integration of payload users with Axiom's payload accommodations.
- Act as the main liaison between the payloads engineering and revenue operations teams, ensuring that product development aligns effectively with customer requirements.
- Participate in System and Subsystem requirement reviews.
- Collaboration with Verification and Validation to document appropriate requirement verifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, math, or science.
- 5+ years performing Payload Integration, preferably for ISS.
- Advanced experience with the NASA Safety Review Panel process and requirements preferred.
- Experienced in customer interfacing role.
- Experience with requirements and interface document development.

Essential Functions
Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Requirements
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Physical Requirements
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
