Summary: This position will work on-site at our Space Station Development Facility in Houston, TX, and will serve as the Agile Project Manager for spaceflight, design, build, test, assembly, integration, certification, launch, operations, and sustainment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing agile hardware and software development projects in the spaceflight industry. The job duties include ensuring integrated schedule fidelity, collaborating with product management to create and maintain a Product Backlog, facilitating Sprint Planning meetings, solving problems, and making decisions to keep deliverables on track. The role also requires mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release/Sprint Goals, keeping abreast of Agile/Frameworks best practices, new trends, training, and maintaining standards and guidelines to support the Agile implementation of the Atlassian tools.

Education & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 - 7 years of related work experience utilizing Agile frameworks.
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a Product Owner or 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master and 2 years of experience managing projects.
- Product Owner or Scrum Master or Agile Coach certification required.
- Comfortable working in highly technical environments.
Essential Functions:
Working environment: This position will primarily work in an office environment but may involve inside or outside work depending on the tasks.
Requirements:
- Must be able to complete a U.S Gov background investigation.
- Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency is a requirement for the position.
- Must have the ability to learn and understand technically complex subjects to better understand the impact on schedule.
- Aerospace, automotive, or design-related experience preferred.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them from beginning to end.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a creative mind and an ability to suggest improvements.
- Professional, confident, driven, and dynamic.
Physical Requirements:
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time).
- It may require lifting or carrying up to 25 LBS.
- Equipment and Machines: standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Skills:
-Servant Leadership.
-Understands scaled Agility in a highly technical, iterative design environment.
- Conducted Daily Standups, Refinements, Sprint Planning sessions, Product Demos, Retrospectives, and Scrum training sessions.
- Gathered business requirements and worked with Product Owners/Engineers to translate into User Stories.
- Assisted the team with building skills in planning, goal setting, organization, and delivering through collaborative efforts.
- Coordinated with team Product Owners/Engineers to drive project timelines and road mapping while ensuring projects align with launch goals.
- Provided strong coaching on Agile best practices.
- Identified issues, risks, and recommendations for improving team efficiency.
- Engaged and included all team members and encouraged a collaborative approach to completing tasks.
- Jira and Confluence experience.
- Prior work experience in a custom software or hardware environment is preferred.
- Must be well-versed in Agile Values, Principles and supporting frameworks.
- Strong prioritization skills for managing product backlog to a milestone-driven schedule.
- Exposure to project management principles or project management-related coursework or certification is a plus.
- The candidate must develop high-quality presentations to communicate status or complex topics on demand.
- The candidate must be motivated and possess excellent oral communication skills.
