HawkEye 360 is seeking an accomplished sales/business development account professional to lead activities with USG intelligence and defense agencies. Reporting to the Vice President of USG Business Development and Sales, the Director, of USG Accounts is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business plan to achieve HawkEye’s revenue targets for USG clients. Execution includes personally developing customer accounts, qualifying opportunities, driving account growth, and assisting in closing sales opportunities. This position is based in Herndon, Virginia with flexibility for other locations globally. English fluency required.

As the Director, U.S. Government Account Lead, your main responsibilities will be:
  • Develop and manage the business development/sales pipeline to achieve corporate revenue objectives.
  • Identify, qualify, shape, and win strategically relevant, long term business opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer challenges to deliver and win compelling, high-impact solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Build and execute account plans that drive sustainable business growth in key markets.
  • Grow business partner relationships to drive business growth.
  • Execute the sales forecasting process to ensure accuracy of business results.
  • Monitor competitor sales, product & marketing activities for situational awareness.
  • Shaping the product roadmap working the Product and Engineering teams
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade association meetings, and other activities as necessary, to promote the company and our products.
  • Work collaboratively with across company functions including finance, legal, engineering and product to deliver targeted results.
  • Support the preparation of quality bids, proposals, RFI, & market research responses
  • Reinforce by example the company’s commitment to its values, including its compliance program and code of ethics.
Your skills and qualifications:
Essential education and experience:
  • 8+ years of Sales, business development and/or Account Management experience selling technology, data and analytics solutions into US intelligence and defense markets.
    • Relevant military and/or intelligence background and experience helpful.
  • Experience in government contracting and acquisition mechanisms in all territories, including understanding of applicable procurement law and regulation.
  • Effective communications skills with C-level, financial, technical, and user audiences.
  • Experience establishing and managing sales channels and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience with data analytics.
  • Basic understanding of RF technologies, data, and potential applications in government and commercial markets.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical capabilities to customer problems.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated; self-starter; accountable for delivering results.
  • Experience building & maintaining sales presentations & reports in Microsoft Office®
Desirable:​​​​​​
  • Experience selling products and services for intelligence and defense industry contractors, remote sensing and/or space related companies
  • Remote Sensing, SIGINT, ELINT, GIS, and GEOINT technical understanding.
  • Understanding how to prospect, search and sell across defense, intelligence and commercial markets.
  • Effectively addressing technical requests and communicating with technical teams.
  • Sales Operations experience, i.e., CRM, reporting.
Base Salary Range: $145,000 - $185,000 annually

HawkEye 360 offers a compensation package that includes a competitive base salary plus annual performance bonus and benefits. We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as candidate's work experience, education, training & skills, as well as market and business considerations. We are also open to considering candidates with experience and qualifications at a different level than required in a job posting, which may affect the compensation package offered.
