FLASH is seeking a Field Project Manager to join our team. As part of our local branch implementation team, the Field Project Manager leads our customers through a variety of implementations at FLASH. The Field Project Manager will both manage and commission the project per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) from assignment through the closeout process, ensuring successful implementation of FLASH hardware and software.
As a Field Project Manager (FPM), you will be responsible for leading the overall success of our largest and most visible projects. You will be expected to work with the customer and supporting FLASH teams to coordinate the installation of our products, as well as commission the system to ensure the systems work as designed. You will be required to understand objectives, priorities, processes, and pain points that can arise during a project and determine how to best manage them for a successful implementation.
This role will be responsible for managing the Flash Parking onsite installation when tasks are assigned.. This includes supporting associated installation contractors, making low voltage terminations, completing network installation, starting up and testing the equipment, and providing onsite training to the client. When performing the commissioner role, the FPM will represent Flash Parking for the duration of the installation and communicate project updates to the Project Manager as well as the client. This position reports to the General Manager of the branch.

Role requires about 25-50% Travel

Successfully executing the role of Field Project Manager is accomplished by doing the following:

  • Developing a deep knowledge of the Flash ecosystem and how it functions.
  • Experience with increasing responsibility in the PARCS industry, preferably a technical role, typically acquired through 5 plus years of experience.
  • Experience communicating with colleagues and customers in a technical support environment.
  • Understanding and embracing that the FPM “owns” the project, from scoping through installation and its success is dependent on you.
  • Creating a detailed plan for each project that can be adapted as challenges arrive.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders effectively through the entirety of a project to ensure the project maintains positive momentum.
  • Understanding the various obstacles that can arise during an implementation, helping the customer to "see around corners," and spot potential trouble before it happens.
  • Customer success, project coordination or technical experience
  • PARCS experience, Access Control/CCTV experience, CompTIA A+, Network+ certifications are preferred.
  • Embrace obstacles, seek out alternative solutions and be willing to provide ideas and recommendations, both internally and customer facing, to better serve our customers.
  • Create strong relationships and enhance product experience so customers cannot imagine doing business without our solution.
  • Identify process gaps and provide recommendations on how to improve and ensure future implementation success.

Experience, Knowledge:

  • Technical understanding and aptitude.

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree (Technology, Business Administration, or Communications related majors strongly preferred) or a minimum of 3-5 years project management or related experience in the parking industry.
  • PARCS Manufacturing, Operations or Technical Support, CPP, PMP, certifications are preferred.
  • A strong understanding of parking operations, technology, and the verticals within which our customers operate their systems is a must for this role.
  • Experience with specific verticals (government, education, healthcare) is a plus.
  • Experience with technology implementations and how various functional roles work together to make them successful (e.g., development, project management, testing, product management, etc.).Strong organizational and communication (verbal & written) skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience installing local networks and working with relays is a plus.
  • Outgoing and is an initiative-taking leader with high levels of commitment & personal integrity

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in a business environment
