Anyware Robotics is seeking Robotics Interns with expertise in Electronics to join our team. The position could be seamlessly transferred to full-time if performance is outstanding.
As Electronics Intern, you will work with a team of innovative engineers from various high-tech industries to prototype robotic systems. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in electrical, electronics, embedded and communication sub-systems to design, prototype, test, and deliver features for our advanced generation of robots. You will also work on integrating sensors, actuators, and control systems to shape our robotic technology. This is a hands-on internship that will provide you with valuable experience in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic start-up environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with a team of like-minded innovators to prototype robotic systems.
- Designing, assembling, and testing custom PCBAs, inclusive of prototyping, integration with the robot and debugging as per requirements.
- Working on selection and integration of AC – DC converters, DC – DC converters, suitable motors and motor drives following technical requirements of the robot.
- Designing schematics for control architecture involving PLC. Further, implement the same in robots through integration of hardware and development of firmware.
- Working with PLC or microcontrollers for quick proof of concept testing.
- Diving into the world of sensors, actuators, and control systems to develop and troubleshoot our robots.
- Investigating and troubleshooting issues in the robot. Develop solutions as well as documentation to reduce potential failures in future.
- Sharing your knowledge and skills with your teammates, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience of designing PCBAs in either Altium, KiCAD, Autodesk Eagle or equivalent.
- Experience of working with PLCs or microcontrollers.
- Understanding of digital and analog signals as well as common communication protocols such as UART, I2C, CAN, RS232, etc.
- Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.
- Work on a full-time schedule at our office in Fremont.
