We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Science Engineer to join our US (virtual) team. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with clients and a proven track record of successfully deploying models in production systems.

This role will play a key role in adapting the Agolo core technology and models to market-specific use cases, and in driving the next generation of our platform to meet those needs.

As a data science engineer at Agolo, you should be able to:

• Lead the tuning and deployment of NLP-driven solutions from identifying business problems to collecting training datasets, analyzing data, modeling, testing, and validating.
• Collaborate with product owners and solutions engineers to adapt core capabilities to market and customer-driven requirements.
• Partner with engineering to design, implement and deploy solutions to the production environments.
• Participate in client-facing meetings to identify requirements and develop strategies to adapt our capabilities to address customer needs.
• Research the latest NLP academic papers and prototype ideas that can potentially solve new challenges and enhance existing solutions.
• Adapt to shifting requirements and deal with ambiguity.
• Prioritize diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience primarily in NLP and ML. This should include industry experience, working in production environments, not coursework.
• Strong foundation in the NLP techniques and approaches, and statistical machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning architectures and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong coding skills in a general-purpose coding language such as Java and Python.
• Proven experience working directly with clients and understanding their needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
